Openai’s marketing leader, Kate Rouch, has announced that he is moving away from his role for three months while he suffers for invasive breast cancer.
In a Publish on LinkedInRouch states that Gary Briggs, Meta’s Train Cmo, will act as an interim marketing manager during his leave.
“At the beginning of this year – a few weeks in the work of my dreams – I was diagnosed with invasive breast cancer,” wrote Rouch. “In the last five months, the way we have been suffering a chemotherapy at the UCSF while guiding our marketing team. It was the most difficult season of life – for me, my husband and our two young children.”
Rouch says that his prognosis is “excellent” and that he should recover full.
“1 in 8 American woman will have invasive breast cancer,” he wrote in his post. “42,000 die every year. Ratages are increasing for young women. I’m sharing my story […] To attract their attention and encourage them to give priority to their health on the requests of families and jobs. A routine exam saved my life. It could save yours too. “
