Kay Bailey Hutchison, the first Ambassador of the Trump Presidency in NATO, warned on Sunday that Chinese President Xi Jinping “observed President Trump’s approach to neo -Goations between Russia and Ukraine”.
In an interview about newsnations “The Hill Sunday”, Hutchison said when the West appears weak against Russia – and if Russia has no reasonable effects to start war in Ukraine – XI could see the current moment as opening to take Taiwan.
“Xi observes whether the West Kree, if the West is only given up, will go from Ukraine – what we said we won’t do it,” said Hutchison.
“And if we look weak or vacyl or give up the ability to remain safe to western borders, then I think that this is for XI the time for him, which has long wanted to do, what begins over Taiwan,” she continues. “He has caused damage in honor of Kong, and now his next feed would be Taiwan.”
Trump will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and other European leaders on Monday to solve the Frider summit between Trump and Russian Putin Vladimir Putin.
Hutchison said it “very good” that Trump included European leaders into the meeting because “security that the European allies are, will be part of this negotiation”.
“I think it is very good to have them at the table and they also deserve to have contributions. To understand the Europens what the proportion is,” said Hutchison.
“Ukraine must have the last word,” she added.
